Mike's Data Tool (MDT) is a professional-grade, on set data management suite. It was created because I, Mike, didn't like the idea of using spreadsheets - they're risky in several ways. MDT solves all of those risks by making it easier for you, the Data Wrangler, and the production team to track their film materials and how they're being backed up, where they're transported to, who has them, how much data is involved, and much more. All of this is combined with checks and balances in the software to ensure you cannot do things like store all the backups drives at the same location; have one only backup; forget or miss footage and fail to protect it; and much more.
